Hi, mouth ulcers are harmless, yes they are painful sometimes but usually heal within a week or two. If you get recurrent ulcers try to find a cause. It can be due to stress, vitamin or folate deficiency, biting your tongue/cheek or lip while eating or eating hot, spicy and citrus containing food.
Next Steps
Apply Rexidine-M gel to the affected area 2/3 times a day. Take multivitamin tablets for a week. Avoid hot spicy food for a few days. Do not talk while you eat. Do salt and lukewarm water gargles 2/3 times a day. Avoid citrus containing foodstuffs for a few days.
Health Tips
If it doesn’t heal within 2/3 weeks you can opt for a video consultation.
