My son is 2 year old. We are currently talking in tamil language. My son is just started to talk In tamil but not Fully..due to official work, we are shifting our family to Hyderabad In Hyderabad schooling, there is no tamil. He has to study either hindi or telungu. We don't know telungu. Whether this will be language barrier to my son? .. without learning his mother tongue language, will he be able to learn other language in school?. Or should we plan our son to study in tamilnadu for initial 5 to 7 years to learn tamil first?

Hello, It's better to learn our mother tongue first, and later on all other languages can be learned. Continue with your tamil followed by other languages. Take care. Follow my Instagram for health Q&A details #tiwarichildclinic 🙏Tiwari child clinic Delhi🙏

Hello! Children exposed to multiple languages learn very fast. You can speak to hin in Tamil. watch Tamil content on Tv or listen to Tamil radio with him . He would eventually be able to learn both languages. Do not worry. In mixed heritage marriages children learn their mother tongue and also second language very well.
Next Steps
Continue teaching him Tamil at home. You can choose any other language as his second language at school.
