Missed period after egg ruptured

My periods were on 9th of September and after that i went for follicular study on day , on 14th day my egg was ruptured which is 22 September now i missed my period and did beta HCG as well it came negative, what is reason behind my late period if my egg was ruptured . I was also on progesterone and was induced by levostrizin tablets for ovulation.

Not every egg that ruptures translates into a pregnancy The reason for the delay in your period could be the progesterone support that you were  on

The cause of your missing your periods is the Progesterone supplements which were given to you hoping that you might conceive. Stop your Progesterones and you will have your periods.
