Miscarriage at 5 weeks
I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks. My doctor gave misoprostol through vagina(endometrium was 19mm, no evidence of gestational sac before medication). Today again i had a TVS which shows that i have endometrium thickening of 13.6mm and shows few cystic foci and minimal internal vascularity on color and power doppler. Some collection like moving echoes in the endrometrial canal is also present. My doctor has now suggested D&C. Should i go for it? Its been 8days since the medication and my periods are still going on.

Its better to go for d and c.
If your periods are still going on with proper flow and if the size of remaining products of conception on usg is less than 2cm then it can get flushed out. But if its just spotting then chances are less.
If you dread a procedure and absolutely want to avoid it then you can wait upto the next cycle with another dose of oral misoprostol now.
But it you want peace of mind, complete resolution and less cycle irreregularitites then better to give for d and c now.
