Dear,
The term "Depression" is used very loosely in our social system. Suffering from clinical depression requires the person to be formally diagnosed by a trained mental health professional. What you are suffering from may be clinical depression or a phase of sadness/despondency which you are mistaking as depression.
In most of the cases, our suffering is because we negatively perceive about others' thoughts about us. We can change our thought process and make it more rational and positive with the help of a psychotherapist and in some cases, also with the interventions of a psychiatrist.
Next Steps
Kindly discuss your concerns with someone close in family as venting out is often very helpful. However, this may not help you in long term. Please see some mental health professional near your area and take your treatment forward.
Take care
