Hi sir / madam, My cousin brother treatment started 20 days before for mdr rr tb but he is still coughing when will his cough stop completely after how weeks of continuing medicines.

MDR TB treatment wil continue for atleast a period of 9 months to 18 months depending in the severity, extent of lung involvement and the response of patient. Cough wil take time to subside Please continue treatment and complete the full course of treatment Consult a pulmonologist for better understanding and treatment

Compliance to full course of treatment is a must to do thing for complete recovery

Mdr treatment will last for 1 year to one and half year.cough will come down slowly, as the Lung lesions healing. Pl consult pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Depends on lung involvement .. as mdr tretament takes time .. symptoms recovery also can take time!
