A proper physiotherapy would be of great help. Massage machines work but only in certain conditions and places of body. The details can be shared by a physiotherapist.

Only a massage gun won't help. You can use this but if you are thinking that by using this no physiotherapy session will be needed then it won't help. So, with this also consult your physiotherapist and for pain must consult your doctor.

Hi there. Massage guns must never be used directly on arthritic joints, bony prominences, or inflamed areas, as the aggressive percussive force can aggravate cartilage damage and trigger severe flares.   At 65 years old, they should only be used cautiously on large surrounding muscle bellies at the lowest intensity with a soft attachment to ease muscle stiffness. Gentle heat therapy, controlled physical therapy, and joint-friendly exercises are generally much safer alternatives.   For an evaluation of her arthritis and a safe, customized pain management prescription, feel free to book a direct consultation with me on Practo, or message directly on WhatsApp at six three six nine four six zero five seven seven.

* A massage gun can be used for osteoarthritis-related muscle stiffness/pain, but it does not treat the underlying arthritis. * At 65 years, use it gently and avoid painful or inflamed joints.
Health Tips
* Avoid use over varicose veins, open wounds, infection, numb areas or recent injuries. * Stop if there is increased pain, bruising, numbness or swelling. Contact me anytime on Practo for further consultation.

Yes, she can use a massage gun, but keep it gentle. It’s better to use it on the muscles around the arthritic joint rather than directly on the joint. For eg is there is arthritis for knee joint then you can use it around the joint for thigh or calf muscles but not directly on the knee joint.
Next Steps
Start on the lowest setting for about 30–60 seconds and see how she feels. Stop if it causes pain or discomfort.
Health Tips
Avoid using it over a swollen, hot or very painful joint, bones, or any wound. If she is on blood thinners or has osteoporosis, use extra caution. If you have any concerns or if her symptoms worsen, you can contact me for further guidance.

Yes, but only cautiously for muscle tightnessit does not treat arthritis itself. Avoid it over swollen joints, bony areas, varicose veins or if she takes blood thinners. At 65, the affected joint and arthritis type should be assessed before using strong pressure. Gentle physiotherapy exercises are usually safer.
Next Steps
Please mention which joint is affected and arrange a clinical assessment. You may book a consultation with me on Practo for personalised advice.

A massage gun may be used cautiously for arthritis, but avoid direct use over painful/swollen joints, bones, or areas with poor sensation. Low intensity and gentle use is preferable. For personalized advice, you may consult me through Practo.
