Lower back pain Since 15 days

My father is having lower back pain since 15 days. He does not feel pain all the time but when standing up from rest or sitting down it comes up. The pain does not radiates down to legs. Attaching is the xray of the spinal. Can someone please check and advise.

Degenerative changes , osteoarthritis of severe grade, and degenerative discs in lumbar spine. Stiffness of spine is common with pain depending on the posture.
