The location of your pain is not entirely clear from the description. Pain in the lower left side that worsens with walking and bending can arise from the lower back, hip, sacroiliac joint, abdominal wall, or groin muscles, and sometimes from abdominal or gynecological conditions. A detailed history and physical examination are required to identify the exact cause before recommending treatment.
Next Steps
Please consult an Orthopaedic Surgeon for a clinical examination. Your doctor may advise investigations such as an X-ray of the pelvis/hip or lumbosacral spine, or an MRI if required based on examination findings. If you experience abdominal symptoms or menstrual/gynecological complaints, evaluation by a General Physician or Gynecologist may also be necessary. You can also book an online consultation with me for a detailed assessment.
Health Tips
Until you are evaluated, avoid activities that aggravate the pain, especially prolonged walking, repeated bending, and lifting heavy weights. Apply a hot or cold pack for 15–20 minutes, 3–4 times a day, if it provides relief. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop severe abdominal pain, fever, persistent vomiting, numbness or weakness in the leg, loss of bladder or bowel control, or inability to walk.
