Lower Back Pain

2020-06-04 09:11:51
My mother has left lower back pain and back pain in spinal chord area. Due to dip in temperature(the cold), the pain started 1 day back. She doesn't have pain whole time. When she move up or sit down then pain erupts. Kindly suggest some remedy. Will any belt support in the back help her?

Her back pain is due to spasm of paraspinal muscles of lower back . Belt support is not recommended for prolonged periods as it leads to further weakening of back muscles leading to new source of pain .belt if indicated is for very short duration ( 3/4 days ) only.

Encourage her to sit properly and some stretching exercises as much she can tolerate. Poor and prolonged sitting can be the likely cause.
