Low monocytes count

In CBC , Monocytes count is low. 140 cells/cu.mm Is there any issue ? What might be the reason and how to cure it. Thanks.

Purely low monocyte count doesn't matter much as it could be both physiological as well as pathological. I would advise you to mention the reason for getting the count done or if you have any specific symptoms

Actually we don't bother about the absolute count of monocytes. Monocytes and Lymphocytes are counted together and for both together they should be about 35-40% of the total leukocytes.

Generally Monocyte count should be more 200cells/cubic milliners . Do not worry , whenever Monocyte needs the count ultimately increases, so I like to inform you that the counts are not significantly important .
