Low electrolytes

2023-12-03 09:26:27
Hi doctor, My blood test shows low electrolytes (sodium & chloride). My HBA1C is 5.9 I am drinking 3-4 litres of water. Is it safe to consume 1 tender coconut water on daily basis to get enough electrolytes?

Daily is not recommended as coconut water is rich in potassium which might cause excess in blood and you might want to cut water intake to 2.5-3 litres, use rock salt judiciously.

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
