Loose motion
Hello. My mother had loose motion yesterday morning. She went to the loo 14-15 times after which we gave her the medicine O2 thrice yesterday. After that it stopped.Today in the evening she went again and had loose stool but says her stomach feels lighter now. Should i give any other medicine to her?

Continue the medication for atleast 5-6 days.
O2 contains Oflox and Ornidazole.
These antibiotics need to be taken for the whole course duration otherwise there may be incomplete treatment and a subsequent relapse of diarrhoeal episode.

3. Take non spicy diet
4. Isabgol 1 tsp in buttermilk -- twice daily

Multiple episodes of vomitting leads to dehydration and loss of electrolytes ....loss of electrolytes (eg hypokalemia )leads to arrhythmias
Ideally physical examination needs to be done to check her dehydration status (white coated tongue )

needs anti secretory medication (eg racedott) or anti motility
needs ors and fresh coconut water

if too much fatigue and white coated tongue is present visit a nearby hospital so that IV fluids can be given and accordingly rx as well
