You should get tongue tie treated as soon as possible and not wait for a year. Left untreated, moderate to severe cases of tongue-tie can cause problems including: -Feeding problems, which can cause poor weight gain or malnourishment. (Breastfeeding is usually more difficult in comparison to bottle feeding when a baby has a tongue-tie.) -Speech impediments, which can cause problems in school.
Next Steps
Consult a good Pediatric dentist and get it physically evaluated.

Hi.. There is no link between bottle feeding and lip or tongue tie. When baby grows he/she might have problem while speaking or may not pronounce some words so if there is speech problem, it's better to get it corrected later.
Next Steps
Don't worry you can continue with normal activities.

Hi. Tongue and lip tie removals are planned according to the class they fall under. As per the provided categorisation, the surgeon has planned the surgery appropriately as the baby's speech and swallow patterns will best be established only when the procedure is performed ASAP. So I request you not to delay the process by another year. In contrast to your fears, the removal of the ties could actually facilitate bottle feeding for the child. Rather than speculating on the effect of bottle feeding on the ties, the ties are already existing in the oral cavity of the child and are only complicating any activity associated with the mouth for the child. Hence, I would suggest you to proceed with the surgery now in the interest of the child.

No direct relations of worsening the symptoms but the tongue and lip toe will of course make it difficult for the baby to suck milk properly
Next Steps
If possible try using a spoon to feed the baby as feeding will bottle also causes early childhood caries in milk teeth.

Hi, Tongue and lip tie will not affect breast or bottle feed. It is advisable to get it treated later in his/her life as speech will be affected.
