Burning in legs and feet with heaviness from the lower back usually comes from one of these: Common possibilities 1. Nerve-related problem (lumbar nerve irritation) • From prolonged sitting, bad posture, or muscle spasm • Causes burning, heaviness, or pulling sensation 2. Vitamin deficiencies • Especially Vitamin B12 or Vitamin D • Very common in people with gastric issues or poor absorption • Causes burning feet, weakness, fatigue 3. Acidity and gastric issues • Chronic gastritis or acid reflux can: • Reduce nutrient absorption • Cause weakness, heaviness, and fatigue 4. Muscle strain or poor posture • Long sitting, stress, or lack of exercise • Leads to lower back tightness radiating to legs
Next Steps
Basic tests to confirm cause Get these simple blood tests: • Vitamin B12 • Vitamin D • CBC • Thyroid profile • Fasting blood sugar These will rule out most common causes. ⸻ Immediate relief measures For gastric issues • Eat small, frequent meals • Avoid spicy, oily, or very acidic foods • Take prescribed antacid if doctor advised For burning legs • Gentle stretching of back and legs daily • Warm water foot soak at night • Avoid long sitting or standing ⸻ Supplements (general guidance) If no contraindication: • Vitamin B-complex or methylcobalamin once daily • Vitamin D3 weekly (if deficiency confirmed)
Health Tips
• Drink enough water throughout the day • Sleep on a medium-firm mattress • Maintain correct sitting posture • Do light walking daily (15–20 minutes) • Include these foods: • Bananas • Nuts and seeds • Eggs or dairy • Green leafy vegetables ⸻ When to see a doctor urgently • Numbness or weakness in legs • Difficulty walking • Loss of bladder or bowel control • Severe persistent back pain ⸻ In most cases, these symptoms are due to vitamin deficiency, posture issues, or gastric-related weakness, and they improve significantly once the root cause is treated. With a few tests and proper supplementation, you should start feeling better within a few weeks.
