Left shoulder dislocation
My husband's left shoulder got dislocated three weeks back. He was asked to wear a sling for three weeks. But we were also asked to consider surgery to avoid such instances in future. Is it necessary to get operated or can this condition be cured by regular exercises. Please advise

SURGERY IS NEEDED ACCORDING TO MRI REPORT OF ANY BONE/LIGAMENT ISSUES,OTHERWISE REGULER PHYSIO IS ENOUGH TO RESTORE.IF IT IS A RECURRENT PROBLEM THE GO FOR THE SURGICAL MANAGEMENT.

Hello dear
First of all you must understand that shoulder dislocation in young individuals like him have a tendency to dislocate again in future.
Important points in history:
1. Is this his first dislocation and if not when was his first dislocation and at what age?
2. How did he dislocate his shoulder?
3. Has he ever dislocated in sleep?
4. Does he have any seizure disorder ( epilepsy )?
5. Has she had any MRI of shoulder? If yes i need to see the films too.
