Also the history of your pain is necessary,,,like how did it start,type of pain,,,is the pain in back region or you get tingling and numbness also in the legs....various causes needs to be ruled out......also sometime
kidney stones cause a typical back pain (waist line) so you need to check that as well.

if possible get a second opinion.get xrays done for lumbar spine in Lat and AP position ,,,get an Xray done for KUB (on empty stomach) & sonography to rule out
kidney stones.
