Knee Pain from November 2017 due to running a marathon , cracking sound when i am bending the knee , please advice

I think the most common cause of crackling sound is chondromalacia patallae and weak quadriceps which can be treated completely with strengthening of your quadriceps muscles

Dear One, developing pain after running could be a sign of osteochondritis, where your knee cartiledge becomes soft and gets damaged, stop running and do strengthening exercises, if that doesnt help consult a orhto and get examined.
