Knee pain and unstable knee

I am having knee pain when I bend my knee backward and feel it little stiff. Further, feel like it is unstable at times. Not able to walk with confidence and feel off falling down. What is the problem and what is the probable solution . Is it something serious to be taken care of

Most common cause of knee instability post injury is an ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) tear and pain could be due to concomitant injuries associated with the ACL tears such as meniscal injuries and Collateral ligament injuries.
Next Steps
MRI Of the knee joint
Health Tips
avoid activities that cause instabily such as climbing up/down the stairs, sports, running etc., untill you get the MRI and get diagnosed properly
