I had hurt my left knee while playing shuttle on 2009, and the MRI at that time had shown completely tear of ACL and . Dr. suggested surgery and I went surgery immediately. After that i did hardly six months physiotherapy. Slowly i started activities. I was back to playing crecket gently without bowling after one year. After 3 years (2012) my knee twisted again while walking. Then I consulted doctor and he suggested basic physiotherapy for six months. After that I thought ready my knee. But I m

Hi. Do you have instability symptoms while turning or during pivoting action. If yes then you need a repeat mri to know the status of your previous reconstruction. If you have instability while getting down the stairs then probably it's due to weak Quadriceps which will recover completely with exercises. Please get yourself evaluated before any decision.
