The recent news you have seen is particularly about rectal cancer being treated with a new immunotherapy drug.
Cancer completely disappeared from all the patients treated.
Points to note :
All are having early stage rectal cancer with specific subtype (dMMR).
Still trials have to be done on different stages and different cancers before calling it a 1 shot drug for all cancers.
Regarding Cancer Cure:
Cancer cure is there since long time provided patient is in early stages of cancer.
