Irregular post partum periods

2025-10-10 09:24:44
I recently got my periods back after 8.5 months post-delivery. They lasted about 12 days, though the bleeding wasn’t heavy. Now, 7 days later, I’ve started having light spotting again since past two days. The bleeding is very light with small stringy clots and bright red colour but not soaking even one pad a day. I have pcos and have had an ivf pregnancy. Last month got my blood work done. Everything was normal except cholesterol and triglycerides which were high.

Please consult a Gynaecologist in your area for a physical examination. You need an internal check up.

Get a pregnancy test done and get a consultation with a gynecologist for internal check up and an ultrasound. If everything is normal, it could be due to hormonal fluctuations due to breast feeding and PCOS.

Total days of bleeding including spotting should not go beyond 7 If it happens you will require detailed evaluation in the form of ultrasound and examination
