Hey hi, Good question! Intermittent fasting is nothing but a time bound eating pattern. It can be followed by anyone taking few measures. If the sugar levels are maintained normally intermittent fasting can be followed but if you face any difficulty get back to normal eating timings.Age of the patient, medication he or she is taking also plays an important role.

As a Diabetic pls avoid intermittent fasting. As a diabetic you need maintain 2-3 hrs otherwise your sugar levels will be fluctuating may it goes down or up. Maintain a healthy routine. Drink more water atleast 3-4 litres in a day. Avoid junk and fried food. Avoid high GI fruits like banana, mango, cheeku, lichi and grapes. Avoid vegetables potatoes, sweet potato, jamikand etc. Do your body analysis and get better results. For more detail consult me directly on Practo.

Hi, Diabetic diet is a well balanced diet which involves eating every 2-3 hours. This will never spike or drop blood sugars and maintain it. Fasting or feasting is not at all advised in diabetes as this will affect blood sugars especially when the sugar levels are high.
