I am 8 month pregnant suffering with gestational diabetes from last one month, following GDM diet chart (Morning 6 to 7am glass of milk and 6 Almonds breakfast wheat upma 150gms or 1 pesarattu plus one egg and around 11am 1 fruit apple/kiwi/avacado and 1 glass butter milk and for lunch taking 150 gms of brown rice and dal plus one veg curry and one egg,and at 4pm taking boiled razma and kabooli chana for dinner taking 1 jawar roti and veg curry plus one egg. After following all this my readings are fasting 90 to 110 and post breakfast around 100 to 110 after 2 hours and after2 hours lunch and dinner around 120 to 140. Right now taking one glycomet 500 tablet in the afternoon and night after lunch and dinner. So can someone please suggest whether I need to take insulin or not for the sake of baby growth and health..
