After dental filling pain gradually worsen & after a week i feel sharp pain during chewing food or cold water. Sometime pain persist few hours & subside after pain killer. Then i went to my dentist again & he gives some antibiotics & painkiller for infection. My question: is infection after filling solved using antibiotics ? & Why i get infection after dental filling?

Infection has entered into the core of the teeth (which has vessels and nerves) So normal filling will make it worse u should get an x-ray and go for rct

Hii,we have to take an Xray to see if there is any infection present,if infection is there we have to plan the treatment accordingly, medication gives the temporary relief it’s not the permanent solution, proper evaluation and treatment gives the permanent solution.

Taking antibiotics will give you relief for some time but if this problem occurs again then you should go to a good dentist or send us the iopa x-ray and we will tell you the solution to all the problems.

The cavity would have been a deep one leading to irreversible pulpitis. Restoration over an exposed pulp leads to such symptoms. The tooth might be treated with RCT.
Next Steps
Come to the doctor for clinical and radiographic examination
Health Tips
Do not eat from that side. Avoid extremes of temperature

Hello Recent Xray after filling done is needed. Evaluation and further treatment if needed can be plan accordingly. Antibiotics and pain killers give temporary relief, if pain persists visit an Endodontist or experienced dentist nearby if possible.
