Hi. You need to diagnose if u had any childhood problems or teenage issues. This would have made Ur self concept and self esteem low. If you were worried for few reasons then automatically mild depression would have started in you. So this would have lead you to the symptoms that you listed in your statement. Harming yourself is bad habit and useless. Dont do that. Instead of prolonging you can see a counsellor who will guide you to come out of sadness and depression.
