I understood ur concern of sleep problems .
Thank you for sharing ur experience .
I wud like to comment on some basic things
that you must understand.
1. SLEEP is crucial event of life . Disturbance
into it undoubtedly alters various changes in ur
body systems & that is expressed into ur day to
day life.
2. Consulting a Psychiatrist is the best option
for ur sleep issues, but what is more important
than consultating is -: Following instructions
and advice of ur Psychiatrist.
3. Psychiatric drugs act solely over ur Brian
Neurotransmitters and it very delicate process.
So if you have planned to consult a Psychiatrist
and start on any drug ,then the most important
thing is " Regular taking of Medicines " & "
regular follow up " as prescribed & advised by
Psychiatrist .
4. Any change in Medicines without consulting
ur Psychiatrist is unhealthy for ur brain. It will
cause more problems.
5. Don't get scarred , sleep problems is very
common and the reason for it are numerous .
Some common, I will enlist for you:
1.Normal sleep cycle altered due to late night
job, work, studies, activities .
2.Any habbit of Tobacco , coffee, tea, smoking
before sleep detoriates ur sleep pattern.
3.Any medical problem like cough,
diabetes ,
breathing difficulties cause sleep problems.
4.Mood, emotions , cognition , thoughts
disorder can affect ur sleep
5.Some Medicines cause sleep disturbances
6.Idiopathic/ primary sleep disturbance.
7. Hormones imbalance.
Next Steps
If you are not satisfied with ur Psychiatrist then
you have right to Consult any other Psychiatrist
or Neuropsychiatrist of ur choice but pls follow
his / her advice .Have faith in their treatment ,
don't be in hurry to stop Medicines without
supervision of Psychiatrist.
I will tell a basic step for good sleep known as
" sleep hygeine"
* morning exercise is must.
* Avoid afternoon sleep
* Dinner sud be taken 2 hrs before of sleep
* Dinner must be light.
* No excessive intake of any form of fluid is
good.
* Avoid use of smoke, tobacco, tea ,coffee
before sleep.
* Bed must be used solely for sleeping no other
activities of watching Tv, laptop,phone, eating
is allowed over bed.
*Room must be cool, calm & dark.
* Change ur bed or room for a change.
* Dip ur legs into bucket of warm water for 20
mins.

Just follow a single source treatment of ur
Psychiatrist and you will definitely get rid of ur
sleep problems.
