High serum calcium

2021-11-13 03:07:43
During routine checkup , serum calcium was 10.6( normal upto 10.2), albumin was 4.7, total protien was 6.7. Gone for ionized calcium it is 1.22 mmol/l (normal range 1.12-1.32). Is it normal to have my serum calcium high with normal ionized calcium. Also do serum calcium needs correction with albumin?

Yes calculated calcium has a relationship with measures calcium n the albumin level. The value in the test needs correction acc to albumin n some other factors

I will rate your complete report as normal. A little bit of rise ( in your case about 4% above the lab standards) need not be corrected by medicine.  Your protein levels are normal. No action.
