A level of Prolactin at level 400 is too much . It calls for an MRI skull to exclude any pituitary gland problem. Please consult your Gastroenterologist who is treating you for GERD.

Please send a proper report with units. Hyperprolactinemia is a condition characterized by abnormally high levels of prolactin, a hormone produced by the pituitary gland. Prolactin is responsible for stimulating breast milk production in women after childbirth. However, elevated levels of prolactin can have various effects on both men and women. Domperidone is a medication that acts as a dopamine receptor antagonist and is commonly used to treat gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea and vomiting. It also has the side effect of increasing prolactin levels. When Domperidone is used for its intended purpose, such as treating gastrointestinal issues, the temporary increase in prolactin levels is generally not a concern. However, if someone has pre-existing hyperprolactinemia or is prone to developing the condition, the use of Domperidone can exacerbate the problem and further elevate prolactin levels. Symptoms of hyperprolactinemia may include: 1) Irregular or absent menstrual periods in women. 2) Decreased libido and erectile dysfunction in men. 3) Galactorrhea (abnormal milk production) in both men and women. 4) Infertility or difficulty conceiving. Changes in bone density.
