High fever blood and urine test done

Good evening Dr.My son got fever around 4days ago.. started as a normal fever and on Saturday afternoon the temperature went upto 103.9 with shivering... Took him to a Dr.and started medicines.. after a day he developed a sore throat too.. now no fever but cough and cold still there with throat irritation.was asked to do a blood and urine test.Result show WBC count of 2200.platelet count of 1.34,000.. other values normal.. malaria negative.. Wanted to know what a low WBC count and platelet count denote..is this cause for concern..How to increase the two levels Dr.Kindly advice

CBC counts of the child points more towards a viral infection,as both wbc count and platelet counts are decreased.
Next Steps
Better to rule out Dengue fever. If Dengue negative it could be due to some other viral infection, can repeat the count after 2 days.
Health Tips
Take plenty of water, and add more fruits and vegetables in diet, take rest.
