High bp and high heart rate

Hello, for hypertension, medications are prescribed day and night for one month . Took medication in day time, checked bp and heart rate in night befre taking medications, both wer normal. Now can taking prolomet am and ivarbrad(bp medicines) still lower down the bp and heart rate, wich was normal befre taking medications? Kindly reply
