You need to consult a Laparoscopic Hernia Surgeon.  After thorough clinical evaluation and investigations you might need to undergo Diagnostic Laparoscopy and Inguinal Hernia surgery..  you can consult me online.

Pain in hernia is usually mild. If it is paining so much that you are taking pain killers it is either an emergency or it is not hernia. Coming to ur next question. Small or large, hernia needs surgery.
Next Steps
Consult near by surgeon and get it confirmed that it is hernia. Then get opearted.

Hello, taking painkillers for hernia can give symptomatic relief but it won’t cure the condition. Hernia can be cured only by surgery Any painkillers like Dolo, Aceclofenac can be used but it won’t cure the condition
Next Steps
Consult a general surgeon and get your hernia repair done at the earliest
