Hearing Loss
I am experiencing a hearing loss issue for some months now. Initially I thought it was a passing phase but the condition is getting worse as now I am finding myself asking people to repeat a lot. Also making individual and group communications difficult. I am really embarrassed about the problem and couldn't find the courage to reach out for help. I want to understand do I have options apart from hearing aids which can make me look like disabled for life.
Management depends on type of hearing loss. If it is permanent sensorineural hearing loss then using hearing aids is the best option available. Using hearing aids will not make you look disable, not using hearing aids might do that. There are proven studies, which says lot many negatives of auditory deprivation, or not giving adequate stimulation to your ears.
