A small white scar on the gum of the front teeth . plz tell me something about it.what is the cause.

This is very little description for a diagnosis...if the white scar has been there for some time...visit a dentist for proper evaluation..

Hello ! White scar on the gum .. let me tell you .. it might not be a scar but could be a lesion on the gum and mostly if it is painful and pus or blood oozing out .. then sometimes this could be infection of the tooth .. for which the gum is attached or the tooth beside the gum .. soo carefully check if u have such symptoms as I mentioned then consult your dentist it needs a treatment.. like rct if needed . Soo consult your dentist , he will take an x ray and diagnose properly.. dont worry !

Upon review these were the findings - C/c- White scar on front teeth gingiva. No other history or complaint, symptoms provided by the patient. Photograph -intraoral? Clinical review? Elaborately these are to be done for - Stains? Calculus? Plaque? if these are the cause oral prohylaxis. If the scar mentioned is over the gingival margin. Clinical examination Cause- Mouth conditions when hygiene not maintained leads to formation of biofilm (diet and oral microorganisms metabolism), then materia alba, leads to plaque and calculus Provisional diagnosis - Chronic generalised gingivitis with plaque and calculus? Differential diagnosis - Etiology, white scar, no other history, photograph?. Diagnostic tests - Clinical review Complete history if premalignant -biopsy Treatment advise for - Oral prophylaxis? Oral hygiene instructions? Prognosis - -
