My nephew has been having high fever for last 3 days. He has been given antibiotics pending malaria check. Today malaria report has come negative. Now doctor is suspecting dengue. Pl advise

Consult Now
Tests for all commin diseases like malaria, dengue , urine infection should be done together. It's difficult to comment without examining the child.

Possibilities maybe typhoid, dengue, malaria, scrub typhus, urinary tract infection. To comment which one it is, need tests and examination. If esr is raised as mentioned above , may need to work up for MIS C ..which is post covid reaction in kids..
