Harmfulness of lateral neck movement

2021-12-20 01:31:24
I heard somewhere that bending or rotating your neck can cause carotid artery dissection which will cause stroke. Now I am very much worried about it. Can doing lateral neck flexion just by using your neck (without any external force like hand) cause this? What's the range can we safely flex upto?

You can move your neck in any direction with in the limit of tolerance of pain. Increase your range gradually.
