Hlw Doc, 5days back I fell down from outstretched hand while playing football.i did x-ray a  hairline fractured is seen which is undisplaced.what would be it's management ND how long? I am using wrist splint.is it required POP? Do I have to take meds like calcium?

Hi. Apply a scaphoid slab that is a temporary plaster and repeat xray after one week if the fracture is the same place then apply complete scaphoid cast for 6 weeks. This should suffice. But scaphoid bone may go for non union despite doing this but chances are less.

Though it is hair line crack it can become fracture scaphoid in real sense if Not protected by scaphoid cast plaster so be careful
