Hello, My 6 year old son have grade 4 adenoid hypertrophy. Doctor have prescribed medicines Furamist nasal spray, cefabest 200, Lewdef 6, and MonteLC tablets for a week. After that they will give steroid nasal drops for a month. Will he require surgery or it can resolve with these medicines only? He does not have any symptom, except a bit mouth breathing only at night. No ear infections, no sleep disorders, nothing wrong with concentration or anything else.

If he do not have any symptoms, he can wait ... he can use Mometasone nasal spray for 3months....as he grows older, adenoids will disappear (12-13yrs). But incase he has symptoms like decreased hearing, frequent infections, better to get operated. For detailed explanation you can consult me online.
