Hello Kindly go for complete scaling (cleaning) immediately . On process of orthodontic treatment your oral hygiene maintainence is too important . If it's swollen it will completely affect your oral health . After cleaning go for gum astringent and use mouth rinse regularly.

They could be due to irritation from braces and plaque accumulation. Get scaling and polishing done once. Maintain good oral hygiene. Use a mouthwash and do warm salt water gargles. Use stolin or gumex to massage your gums
