Giant Cell Tumor Surgery

Dear Sir/ Ma'am I have. Undergone surgery for removal of giant cell tumor from my distal femur region of right leg , extended currettage with cementing plating was done. It has been 10 months since removal of tumor i am able to bend my around 123-125 degrees with 0 degree extension. I want to ask will this bone cement and plate be permanent or will i have to get it removed and is there any lifespan for bone cement?

It needs not to be removed. Be under the care of the surgeon who operated on you.

Cement need to stay. Implant removal is subject to any issue developing due to it.

If no problem, no need to remove it.. If severe pain, infection, or walking problem.. then removal is required after doctor's consultancy.

The cement is there to stay. The plate can be removed in 2 years time.The range youve got is excellent. Kindly keep your follow up with operating surgeon.
