Getting Schizophrenia to my child

Hello. My mother is suffering from Schizophrenia. Me and my wife are planning for a baby. What are the chances of our child getting schizophrenia? If the chances are more then we will go for sperm bank. Please suggest.

Schizophrenia is not just mental and emotional, it also has physiological and physical aspects to it that can be detected early in the pregnancy process.

Grandparent transmission rates for schizophrenia are low. One parent transmission is upto 12%. Although such numbers are available. Schizophrenia has multiple causes apart from genetics.
