It will be advisable to stay in touch with your primary doctor who has prescribed the anti depressant at first. So that he/she can titrate the dosages downwards as per your improvement.

Don't worry. Medications for anxiety are generally taken for a longer span than usual. Their benefits are greater than the side effects(if any). The dose is tapered down accordingly and I guess your doctor might have the same thing in his/her mind. You might feel better but if stopped abruptly you can be back to square one in no time.
