I am suffering from general anxiety disorder. Doctor gave me fluoxetine 20mg thrice a day is this a good medcine for anxiety

Every medicine has their own pros and cons. It's better to consult with same dr for further option. Also try Cognitive behaviour therapy . Exposure therapy, flooding and system
