Gabapentin for sleep

I've been on olazapine for few years for bipolar disorder. I have been having sleep problems for one year and tried melatonin and trazodone with no good results. I have anxiety and tension headaches too. Should I talk to my doctor for gabapentin for sleep?

You should have been taking olanzapine only with periodic review with a psychiatrist. During those reviews if you had conveyed about sleep disturbance the psychiatrist would have done the needful. Also olanzapine treatment needs to be monitored with blood tests and for metabolic syndrome. Good luck

Better to speak with your doctor - there are many agents which can be used to induce sleep - better to have a consult with the psychiatrist
