Hello, Thank you for your query. • Based on the information provided, it is difficult to suggest the most appropriate treatment without a proper assessment, as several skin conditions can appear similar. • Kindly share clear photographs of the affected area in good lighting along with details such as duration of the problem, symptoms, and any treatments used previously. • I would advise against starting any OTC creams or self-medication, as some products may worsen the condition or delay proper treatment. • An accurate diagnosis is the first step towards effective and long-lasting results. You may book a consultation for a detailed evaluation and a personalized treatment plan. I would be happy to guide you further.

Hey.. no need to worry..we are here to help you out. I am Dr Satendra MD Dermatologist (MAMC, New Delhi) worked as Senior Resident (AIIMS, New Delhi)..currently practicing in Alambagh Lucknow. Based on your history it may be Tinea Corporis (in simple terms fungal infection).. but I would suggest please rule out other disease that may be look like fungal infection. You can share photos of lesions that would be more helpful to confirm the diagnosis.
Next Steps
KOH Scraping to confirm diagnosis because of chronicity & currently not responding to medication
Health Tips
Kindly don’t use over the counter drugs or creams from medical shops as most of them have combination of antifungal with topical steroids.. that may relief for while but not a treatment.. and with time also create drug resistance. Just do a single visit to nearby dermatologist or do online consultation on Practo that would much better than self treatment. They will prescribe better formulations of drug’s to tackle resistant cases. Yes one more advice kindle took complete course of antifungal medications of 4-6weeks. Keep area clean, avoid continuous sweat exposure, keep area dry, avoid friction to that area, keep separate towels, seperate anti fungal soaps, treat other family member also if anyone also infected. Thanks.
