Frequent urination

2025-07-05 01:18:25
I’m experiencing frequent urination throughout the day, even though I am not drinking much water. There’s also a constant urgency to urinate, even if the quantity passed is small. What could be causing this? Should I be concerned?

Rule out diabetes,  Urinary tract infection. Get blood sugar random, HbA1c, urine microscopic examination done. Urine to be tested, should be the one passed out first thing in morning and should be mid stream sample,  I.e. sample   after discarding initial few  drops. Share results

Dear Practo User. Thanks for sending across your query. Frequent, urgent urination with small amounts could indicate a urinary tract infection, overactive bladder, or early diabetes. It's important to get a urine test and blood sugar check soon to identify the cause and begin treatment.

Respected Sir, Thank you for your question. Firstly I would suggest you to elaborate your symptoms more in order to reach a provisional diagnosis. I would also like to suggest you to get some basic tests done which can contribute to diagnosis with your symptoms, like Hba1c, RBS, FBS, Urine routine examination. Other factors contributing to these symptoms may include excessive sugar intake or stress. I would ask you to be calm and pay attention to these symptoms and get proper management done for the same by a medical professional. Thanks and regards

Hi. It can be related to either a urinary tract infection or Diabetes. It’s better to get a blood workup and urine analysis done and consult for the same. As a little more history is required to come to a diagnosis.
