Hello Doc, my brother is facing fissure problem from last 2 months . He had applied few cream like Zol-F etc also renounced spicy food still having and due to that can not concentrate . His age is 40 .plz advise some medicine and remedies. Thanks

He should have Sitz bath (Hot water tub bath) to ease out pain; take Haritaki Powder one tea spoon twice daily to avoid constipation; apply some soothing ointment or coconut oil in anal region. Take plenty of liquids like water, butter milk etc.; take fiber rich diet like green leafy vegetables etc. If problem still persists you should consult an Ano Rectal specialist.

I would advise you to take your brother to a general surgeon so that the fissure can be evaluated and graded accordingly. Based on the fissure the option of medication or surgery has to be decided.
