Fever in 5 yr old children
My child has been getting a fever continuously for the last 4 days .. blood reports are malaria -ve, dengue -ve , crp-42mg/L. Today, we started antibiotics Augmentin DDS (4.5ml twise a day) but not seeing much improvement and fever is coming again(103+).. how much time Antibiotics take to work? Or should we monitor 48hrs of Antibiotics..

Maintain hydration give water in between . Continue same treatment . Repeat crp after 5 days of antibiotics course . Atleast 2 days shld complete for course of antibiotic .

Atleast 48 hours of antibiotic course have to be taken

CRP is too high. If it doesn’t decrease even after 48hrs, better go for IV antibiotics
