Yesterday my son has vaccination of 2 and a half months. He is getting fever from yesterday. Is it normal to have fever on second day.i am giving paracetamol pediatric oral suspension IP 100 mg.

Yes post vaccination fever is common and is normal to have fever on day 2. Paracetamol suspension is safe and can be given in a dose of 0.3 ml sos as per age of the child.however, if any other complications occur or fever is persistent then you need to get the child evaluated by your pediatrician.

It's completely normal to have a fever post vaccination. Nothing to worry about. If it persists beyond 4-5 days see your doctor or consult online. Continue giving paracetamol as advised based on the child's weight and nothing more. Continue breastfeeding meanwhile and comfort the baby.

Yes it is normal. Paracetamol 100 mg if you are giving then it is very high dose for your child Your child must be weighing around approx 4 to 5 kg If so you can give 0.7 ml of 100 mg paracetamol drops
