Hello, Sensitivity after scaling is quite common, especially of the scaling is done a little aggressively or/and the teeth were sensitive before the scaling. The good news is that this sensitivity reduces with time and is rarely permanent.
Next Steps
1. Please switch to a desensitizing toothpaste like Sensodyne or Colgate Sensitive Enamel Repair. 2. Try using a desensitizing gel, like Senolin SF, on only those teeth that are sensitive. You can massage those teeth with the gel using your fingers. 3. Before meals, rinse with a desensitizing mouthwash like Thermokind.
Health Tips
Avoid food and beverages of extreme temperatures and acidic content for a few days. Good luck! Regards, Dr Rohit Behere
